Traditional Artists Contest *more or less closed?EDIT:Traditional Artists Contest *more or less closed? by *Egil21
Hello Traditional Artists
Today was the last day of my commission contest. I'm very thankful to all who have participated for their kindness and good will. I have chosen 3 works to buy as it was my primal intention and soon I'll be contacting the authors so we can agree on the terms of purchase.
I was contacted to extend the contest period, but as you can easily understand, this is not a regular contest: I think that any of you, traditional artists reading this, who have the will to produce a piece accordingly the rules below can contact me any time to show me a WIP or a finished work. If I like the piece, I'll buy it
Also below (scroll down to the end of the article) you can find my favourite works, wonderful pieces, just like I was looking for.
For now I'll remove the references I don't want any more but I'll keep the others available until the end of January 2013, so you are welcome to use them as I'm still commissioning you!
Thank you to all

I am raising 63,600 points to give 100 3-month premium memberships on Christmas Day of 2012, to give a little something back to deviants who give a lot to the community. I cannot do this alone.
How do you donate?
To donate to this cause, go to `JoseFelipeM's page and click "Donate" on the donation pool, or go to the "Give" drop-down menu at the top-right of the page and select "Give Points." No matter which way you give, I still get them!
How else can you help besides donating?
To further help the cause, please favourite this news article and feature it in your next journal, poll, and send it to your friends! It will really mean a lot to the future recipients and myself. It doesn't matter how many watchers you have, but I need your help for this to be known to everyone site-wide!
You can also show your support with this stamp!

Eofish's First Contest: SHARK WEEK!!Less than 10 more days to submit your entries!!Eofish's First Contest: SHARK WEEK!! by #Eofish
Greetings everyone!
As some of you may know Sunday night marks the beginning of Shark Week!
Sharks have been on Earth since the Silurian period (420 mya) and hundreds of species roam the oceans of today. They survived the greatest mass extinction event in the history of the planet. One that wiped out 95% of aquatic life! They had evolved into many incredible forms from the ironing board Stethacanthus to the massive Megalodon. They swam among the dinosaurs and watched their extinction. They witnessed the rise of mammals and the diversification of birds. However, after hundreds of millions of years, sharks may have finally met their match. An estimated 60-80 million sharks are killed every year for consumption, trophies, decoration, and unjustified fear. Habitat degradation, loss of prey species, and by-catch are other big
Project: Improvement for the Better (UPDATE)September is Self-Improvement month. I thought this would be a great time to launch my project that I am calling "Improvement for the Better."Project: Improvement for the Better (UPDATE) by =alexrashid
As artists, we are really self critical of our work.
I thought it would be interesting to see how much you have improved.
So, to participate in this project, you will take an old work of yours, be it on the site or not, and redo it. To submit it, you will place the two side by side, and label them Before and After. You may also say in your artist's description something like "the one on the right is before, and the one on the left is after" or something like that. Your title will be "Improvement for the Better: (how much time between the two) You will submit to a folder named Improvement for the Better in my group #Proud-ToBe-Divergent You don't have to be a member there to submit. (Thank you to *Apacofishie for beta-ing that). Everyone gets one entry per person. This project will end at the end of September.
There will be prizes, which
