As some of you may know Sunday night marks the beginning of Shark Week!
Sharks have been on Earth since the Silurian period (420 mya) and hundreds of species roam the oceans of today. They survived the greatest mass extinction event in the history of the planet. One that wiped out 95% of aquatic life! They had evolved into many incredible forms from the ironing board Stethacanthus to the massive Megalodon. They swam among the dinosaurs and watched their extinction. They witnessed the rise of mammals and the diversification of birds. However, after hundreds of millions of years, sharks may have finally met their match. As artists, we are really self critical of our work.
I thought it would be interesting to see how much you have improved.
So, to participate in this project, you will take an old work of yours, be it on the site or not, and redo it. To submit it, you will place the two side by side, and label them Before and After. You may also say in your artist's description something like "the one on the right is before, and the one on the left is after" or something like that. Your title will be "Improvement for the Better: (how much time between the two) You will submit to a folder named Improvement for the Better in my group Proud-ToBe-Divergent You don't have to be a member there to submit. (Thank you to Cheburaskah for beta-ing that). Everyone gets one entry per person. This project will end at the end of September.
